Founded by Peter Thwaites in 1999, Netports is a 100% Australian owned business which has grown to established itself as a premium provider of web hosting and associated services to the Australian consumer and business communities. Netports is a 100% debt free business - a "bank overdraft" or "business loan" are foreign terms to us!
At the retail level Netports offers a comprehensive range of website hosting services designed to meet varying requirements and budgets. We back all our hosting services with real person 24x7x365 support available either directly online from our website or by phone. We do not treat you as a "support ticket", we treat you as a person.
At the wholesale level Netports hosting services are the backbone behind successful webmasters, web development and web hosting businesses all over Australia. Our Locations
The Netports Group is managed out of Brisbane and Cairns. The billing and accounting department of Netports is located in Brisbane. Sales and support for the hosting division is shared between Sydney, Brisbane and Cairns.
Netports is 100% Australian owned. Netports utilise datacenters in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Dallas and Altanta to deliver the highest possible quality across our range of core product and service offerings.

Only Australian Located Customers
Netports only hosts Australian websites or websites of Australian located customers This is an unheard of practice for any web host but exists for the sole purpose of associating our multiple hosting frameworks with nothing but Australian websites and Australian content in the eyes of search engines for the benefit of our hosting customers.
To our knowledge no other Australian hosting company excludes non-Australian websites and non-Australian located customers and while the jury is still officially out on the effectiveness of such an unusual search engine optimisation practice from the hosting side, evidence before us shows the practice can bring with it a tangible double benefit for our customers who seek strong Australian specific search engine results as well as global search engine database inclusion, no matter what Netports service is chosen or where its physically located.

The release of our Failover Clustered web hosting and reseller hosting services is evidence of this. There Are Cheaper Alternatives
Netports does not hide the fact that we do not undertake the usual cost cutting exercises that are currently rife within the hosting industry. We believe powerful and reliable web hosting and the tangible advantages it delivers are now more important than ever to the success of any internet presence.
We of course could effortlessly slash our costs by a considerable margin if we simply doubled the number of hosting accounts we position on a given server, or moved our hosting to Virtual Private Servers (VPS), or perhaps to servers with single CPU's with a cheap single discounted datapath to the internet. But if we did any of this we would be no different to the bulk of hosting companies out there. Yes, we could then offer very cheap hosting perhaps even with unlimited space but the idea our customers websites may be starved and crippled of resources is not what we are about. Its not what the Netports brand represents.
Despite what some glossy and colourful websites will tell you, there is actually a direct relationship between cost and quality. While we do come reasonably close to being amongst the least expensive web hosts available to Australians, especially with our high powered 
Classic Web Hosting services, the truth is we are not the cheapest. If you want the absolute cheapest website hosting then you're looking at the wrong website.
No Gimmicks, Promotions or Specials
While many other web hosts may rely on cheap prices, fantastic looking websites, service gimmicks and specials to gain attention and business, Netports prefers to rely on our existing customer base spreading the word about their experiences with us.
