About Netports

Netports is a webhosting infrastructure service provider with core principal competencies in providing retail and wholesale web hosting solutions to the Australian consumer and business communities.

A Thwaites family business. Brenton, Stacey and dad Peter. Brenton and Stacey have long gone their own way since the early days of Netports, but still provide valuable input. Peter's brother Mosie, a retired bank manager, skillfully looks after the billing and accounts side. And most our highly qualified the tech team have been with us for over a decade.

Founded by Peter Thwaites in 2000, Netports Pty Ltd is a 100% Australian owned business which has steadily grown to established itself as a key small-footprint premium provider of webhosting, reseller hosting, VPS and dedicated servers to the Australian retail and wholesale sectors. From the very beginning Netports included full server management and 24/7 pro-active monitoring with all services, something of which is usually a hefty extra cost elsewhere. This has become a hallmark inclusion in the Netports range of hosting services. This meant clients rarely, if at all, had to be troubled by anything. Welcomed relief indeed for busy business owners and those who are not familiar with server management.

Our locations

Netports is managed out of Brisbane and Cooloola Cove. The billing and accounting department of Netports is located in Brisbane.

Netports primarily hosts out of Equinix DC's in Sydney and Brisbane but also provides specialist mission critical hosting services located on the west coast U.S.A., the closest point to the Australian eastern seaboard.

Best of all ... we're not huge!

As at January 1, 2024 we have under 1,100 retail webhosting customers of our own and under 90 reseller, VPS and dedicated server clients, many of whom have multiple services with us and are hosting countless of their own customers websites. Truth is we are not a huge enterprise, and we have absolutely no desire to become one.

We believe our compact size provides countless operational advantages that more than contributes to our ability to deliver and sustain a significantly higher quality service year after year. 25 years in business within the competitive hosting industry is a sure sign we are doing something right!
